We provide a handmade, from-scratch traditional tea experience. Charming and fun, yet simple and relaxed. We can accommodate any occasion. FAQs:

  • Number of guests:

    • Children’s parties: We have a minimum of 6 people and a maximum of 12. For more than 12 children, email us first to ask if this is possible for your day.

      • 4 chaperones are provided seating and may order a la carte on the day of the event. This cost is separate from the party price.

      • No additional seating is allocated; standing room is not allowed.

    • Adult parties: Parties with adults can host up to 20 guests (when store is open) and 50 guests (for Private Hire).

    • Final guest count is due 48 hours in advance. Guests are booking reservations every day, so seats do fill up quickly in the shop. We recommend first reaching out with the largest estimated number of guests, then reducing to an accurate count as the date approaches.

  • Scheduling: We often fill up 2-3+ weeks in advance - more for larger parties or for weekend closures. We recommend securing your date ASAP. If you need to check if a date is available, email us, but please note that we do not hold any dates unless the reservation is completed (click the type of party below, then click “add to cart” and fill in the details).

    • Deposits are required to save the date. Deposits are non-refundable.

    • Once booked, food/tea selections for the party must be confirmed via email 1 week in advance.

    • Private Hire Events are sent invoices by email and must be paid in full 24 hours prior to the event.

  • Pricing:

    • $3,350 plus 6% tax and 18% gratuity, up to 46 people

      • There is no price change for less guests than 46 inclusive. For example, the price is the same whether 20 guests or 46 guests attend (price includes up to 46 guests).

    • Children’s parties: $390 for up to & including 6 children - additional children are $65 per person, with a maximum of 12 kids.

    • 6% MD sales tax and 18% gratuity is added to all parties.

  • How do I secure my date/time? When you click “add to cart” for any of our parties below, you’ll be asked the number of attendees, date and time you’d prefer, any dietary restrictions, theme/details about the event, and other comments. Our owner, Emma, will be in touch with you for any questions.

  • What dietary restrictions can Emma’s Tea Spot accommodate?

    • Gluten-free: we do have gluten-free bread and gluten-free desserts, though unfortunately not gluten-free scones. We are a sandwich shop, though, so we cannot guarantee there won’t be cross-contamination — we do make all of our food in the same area.

    • Vegan: We do have vegan options! Please visit our menu to see which selections are vegan.

    • Vegetarian: We also have many vegetarian options! Please visit our menu to see which selections are vegetarian.

    • When confirming your food/tea selections for your party, please note in the comments section any dietary restrictions.

Children's Party Deposit
$50.00

Our children’s party package is 2 hours and includes a Host, Tea Party with Drinks, Food and Mini Cupcakes. We sing for birthdays, provide a candle, goodie bags, table settings and a hosted activity. Tea will be served first. Seating will be provided for FOUR adult chaperones for the party. The cost is $390 for 6 Children and additional children are $65 per person with a maximum of 12 kids. Chaperones may order a la carte on the day of the event.

Goodie bags include a teabag, honey stick, mini honey, lollipop, Pearl Beads & Sticker. Activity provided is a paint your own teapot/cup. Aprons and all materials are provided. 

The two hours itinerary is as follows; Arrive, have tea party, enjoy mini sandwiches, chips, and fruit. Hosted Activity, sing the birthday song, blow out candle and enjoy mini desserts. We provide unlimited tea or hot chocolate, a selection of sandwiches and 3 desserts per child. If time is left we can read a story or open gifts. 

Parties must be scheduled with at least 2-3+ weeks advance notice (30 days or more is best). Available party times are 11am or 3pm any day Emma’s is open.

Pricing: $50 deposit due to book a date. Deposits may be made here on our website. The deposit is non-refundable. The balance is due 24 hours prior to the event via invoice. Gratuity should be paid direct to the host on the day in cash.

Let’s make it special! In no circumstances can we accommodate late arrivals or walk ins or standing additional guests. Any individuals wishing to attend must have a reservation as a party guest or book a High Tea.

Take over Emma’s with your group, and enjoy a delightful tea party with sandwiches, scones & Sweets!

High Tea with a Custom Party Package, includes full table and chair dressing with linens, 1 hour set up, 3 hours private rental, full service staff, 1 hour clean up, trash removal, glassware, China and cutlery, all drinks and food and BYOB privileges and table favors (Teabag, honey, cookie)

The cost $3,350. The price does not include taxes or Gratuity. Gratuity can be paid in cash on the day at your discretion or at 18% added to your invoice due to be paid in full the day before. Week day or evening parties can be booked at any time of day.

  • Parties must be scheduled at least 2 weeks advance notice with full payment prior to the event.

  • Price is inclusive of up to 46 attendees.

  • Customization requests and dietary restrictions can be added in the notes during checkout.

Pricing: $250 non-refundable deposit due to book a date. Deposits may be made here on our website and are non-refundable. The balance is due 24 hours prior to the event - please call the shop to pay the balance.

Navigating Life with Manners & Etiquette Made Simple

This curriculum for children aged 5-13 is tailored for Girl Scout Daisy Troops. Curriculum available upon request.

$45 per child. Includes a tea party and light refreshments as well as etiquette class.

Additional adults beyond the allocated chaperones can reserve seating with booking a High Tea or walk in. Seating is first come first served and limited. No standing room.
